Equamore Sanctuary Summer Day Camps—2016

About the Program:

At Equamore Sanctuary Summer Day Camps, we share our knowledge and love for horses with young people ages 8 to 14. Each session is a unique way for students to make a difference in the world “for the love of horses.” First-year students learn how to be around horses from adult teachers and are mentored by returning students who have elected to become camp counselors.

Experience:  Students will receive riding lessons from our dressage instructor. Classes and lessons are tailored for each student’s level of experience with horses. Each  day will be filled with hands-on activities as well as lessons on horse nature, horse care, and riding.

To be Safe:  Students must wear helmets and sturdy boots when around horses. Helmets will be provided as needed. Boots must have a regular heel to prevent a foot from slipping though stirrups and be sturdy enough to protect a child’s toes.
