Well, with spring grass, Magic and I are back in the dry mare field.   Last year I was blue at this time.  But this year, it’s great.  First, the people re-fenced the fields and the mare field is huge – it goes all the way into the high pasture where I still talk to Hoover.     Second, Preston was removed – too interested in the mares – and the massive Percherons were moved to their new field.   (Diamond is one big scary mare – sheesh!)    So I have no competition and am on top again!     I am Thor!

Lastly, and the best, there is plenty of room to really chase the horrible Sara.   She is the alpha mare of her herd, but is clearly no match for me.  Even though our field is huge now, if she is grazing on that one spot really I want,  I walk near her, pin back my ears and toss my head.   If she doesn’t slink away, off we go!   Teaching her to obey is gratifying I must say.   Magic says this is all silly and I am wasting my time and energy.  He is wrong – it’s the best.    I rule , Sara!

I am Thor and I am an Equamore Horse.
